This is an independent NZ owned and run site that aims to help inform New Zealanders of what they need to know during a local or national emergency. We take in all the information from Government, Council, Civil Defence, and emergency services, along with what people tell us via this site and our facebook page (emergency – New Zealand). This means we can provide a summary of information from all sources. We also have an emergency rating (on a scale of 1 to 100), this shows you how serious the current emergency is to your and your family’s safety.
This page is NOT an official emergency service or civil defence page, or officially affiliated with these services. As above, it takes information from all sources and advises you from our own opinion from what we have been told, have read, heard and seen.
